Georgia Tech funds our wearable sensor programme

A new Georgia Tech award supports the next phase of our ultra-light wearable sensor work, with colleagues Dr. Ben Freeman and Dr. Emily Weigl in the School of Biological Sciences. The sensors let us track movement, behaviour, physiology, and interactions of lots of animals on campus, from butterflies to lizards to birds!

Simons Foundation Graduate Fellowship in Ecology and Evolution

The Simons Foundation has funded Emma Glenn with a Fellowship in Ecology and Evolution, following a successful selection of Emma's research proposal Acclimation and adaptation: rapid physiological responses to the climate crisis. Congratulations, Emma!

James was named an Atwood Rising Star in Evolution and gave the accompanying lecture at the University of Toronto.

Three-legged lizards make the front page of the New York Times

Our study of lizards surviving and reproducing on three legs ran in The American Naturalist and on the front page of the New York Times print edition. Forty-eight authors contributed observations from field sites across the Caribbean and beyond.

James has been awarded a Packard Fellowship for Revealing evolution's hidden pathways: how behavior shapes natural selection. The fellowship provides $875,000 over five years.
